Estelí Women’s School carries out a strategy against dengue

The Estelí Women’s School is working very closely with the local health authority to implement a strategy against dengue which is a serious problem this year with the start of the rainy season. So in addition to their normal education classes the students are also participating in house to house visits in local barrios to raise awareness about how to prevent dengue and the measures to take if people do fall ill with the disease. Our students take this activity very seriously and our teaching staff also regard the activity as fundamental in helping reinforce the community and personal values the Estelí Women’s School seeks to instil in our secondary education students.
