Activities by the ICES Project addressing domestic violence

In June our ICES program addressing domestic violence maintained its schedule of education talks and training workshops visiting the communities of La Pacaya and Salmerón in the municipality of San Nicolás and Sontule in the Miraflor area of the municipality of Estelí. The talks and workshops focused on how we can build our emotional resilience and self-affirmation, on the importance and meaning of gender equality and on how in practice we should apply the ideal of gender equality. This month we have been coordinating with the local university to schedule internships for final year psychology and social work students and training to enhance their understanding of integral care using a multi-disciplinary approach.
